Posted on August 21, 2017 at 9:20 AM by Laura Oldham

Update from August 21, 2017

Paving on Goodale Blvd started this morning, and crews will be milling and paving most of the week, so be aware of a large amount of trucks and equipment on Goodale. Traffic will be maintained in both directions, but there will be delays throughout the week.

Update from March 31, 2017

The project will start on April 4 with lane modifications, traffic will be maintained in both directions but on street parking will be limited. The project completion date is August 30, 2017.

The general contractor for the project is Strawser Paving Inc. 1595 Frank Road Columbus, Project inspections will be performed by Ferris Engineering.

Questions concerning the project can be directed to Darryl Hughes, Director of Service for Grandview Heights at or 614 488-4728.

Update from September 13, 2016

A contract will not be awarded in this project as the bid for repairs came back too high, and it will be rebid in the winter for spring 2017 construction. Full-depth repairs may be completed this fall as add-on work to the street program. This will take care of pavement issues through the winter and allow for quicker construction in the spring.

Update from August 23, 2016

  • Bid opening 8/12
  • Bids came in higher than 10 percent of Engineer's estimate.
  • Engineer reviewing bids.

Update from July 29, 2016

Yard Street will be closed at Goodale Blvd beginning the morning of Friday August 5 and will reopen the morning of Tuesday August 9. The contractor will be fixing a crosswalk.

Update from June 13, 2016

There will be a nighttime lane closure on Goodale Blvd just east of Yard St from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. for the next three nights starting tonight, June 13. The closure is needed to allow for the sewer and water connections for the conference center.
