City Charter Amendments on November Ballot

The Charter is the legal document that our citizens use to grant specific powers to our elected officials.  To ensure that the Charter meets the City’s needs, it is reviewed every 10 years by a Commission comprised of nine Grandview Heights residents.  After careful deliberation, the Commission recommends, and Council has approved, placing before the voters several changes which will make the Charter easier to read and clarify provisions that protect the City and its residents.

A redlined copy of the proposed Charter amendments is attached for your review.  I encourage you to review these recommended changes to the Charter.  We believe the recommended changes strengthen the City’s most important governing document and deserve your approval on November 6, 2018.  Vote YES on Issue 30 to adopt these changes.
