March 30, 2020:

Beginning Monday, April 6, alternating biweekly recycling and yard waste collection will start. However, please note the important information below:

Recycling will be collected on Monday, April 6, and every other Monday after April 6 until further notice. Yard waste collection will occur on Monday, April 13, and will continue every other Monday after April 13 until further notice. For example, the month of April’s recycling will be collected April 6 and April 20. Yard waste will be collected on April 13 and April 27. Please do not put recycling or yard waste out for collection on your normal trash days. Recycling or yard waste will be picked up only on respective Mondays. This schedule will be followed until further notice, and is subject to change based on City Service Department operations during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Please note that trash collection remains on its normal weekly collection schedule. As a reminder, please place your trash, recycling, and yard waste at the curb if you are physically able, unless you have alley collection. Call the Service Department at (614) 488-4728 with any questions.

March 27, 2020:

Please note that recycling pickup is currently suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Recycling materials can either be held until recycling service is started again or included with your trash. Please note that if you include recycling to be picked up with trash, it will go to the landfill. At this time, trash pickup will remain on schedule. SWACO offers recycling drop-off locations around the Columbus area. Search for a location near you.

Recyclable materials may be placed in a reusable garbage can or container up to 32 gallons, however, they are not to weigh any more than 50 lbs when full. A Recycle Grandview sticker may be obtained at 1525 Goodale Blvd between 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and needs to be displayed. Place the container next to the alley or if no alley exists, on the tree lawn curb strip for collection.
