Shelter House Reservations


Shelter houses are ideal for family reunions, company picnics, club meetings, and birthday parties. Please call Parks & Recreation at 614-488-3111 to check shelter availability.

Reservations for the W. W. Williams Shelter at Wyman Woods and the McKinley Field Shelter are currently being accepted from Residents of Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff at the Parks and Recreation Department offices in the Grandview Center, 1515 Goodale Boulevard, phone 614-488-3111.  Reservations for residents of Grandview and Marble Cliff are accepted beginning on the first business day of January for the current year.  Residents may reserve the shelter in-person only on the first business day.  Non-residents may begin making reservations of the shelter facilities beginning on the first business day of February for the current year. You can check the availability for shelters at www.grandviewheights.org/onlinereg but must still call in or visit parks and recreation to pay and book the shelters.

Shelter Availability:
W. W. Williams Shelter at Wyman Woods: April 1st through October 31st
McKinley Field: Year-round

Rental rates as follows:

W. W. Williams Shelter at Wyman Woods:
Sunday through Thursday
• $120.00/reservation, resident
• $240.00/reservation, non-resident
Friday and Saturday
• $240.00/reservation, resident
• $400.00/reservation, non-resident
The reservation season will be April 1st-October 31st.
An Alcohol Use Permit is available for W.W. Williams Shelter, for an additional $250.00 permit fee
Non-Profit groups with a Grandview Heights or Marble Cliff address may reserve the shelter at a 15% discount.
Amenities: Seating for 144, 18-60" round tables, small kitchenette with sink, small refrigerator and microwave.

Refund Schedule: Cancellations must be made by contacting the Parks and Recreation Offices. A refund (less a $10 administrative fee) shall be issued when the cancellation is made 90 or more days prior to the reservation date. A 50% refund shall be issued when the cancellation is made 30-89 days prior to the reservation date. No refund will be made when the cancellation is less than 30 days prior to the reservation date.

McKinley Field Shelter:
Rental rates will be as follows:
• $60.00/reservation, resident
• $240.00/reservation, non-resident
The reservation season for McKinley Field’s shelter is year-round.
No alcohol can be served at the McKinley Field Shelter.
Non-profit groups with a Grandview Heights or Marble Cliff address may use the McKinley Field Shelter Sunday through Thursday at no charge, and at a 15% discount on Fridays and Saturdays.
Amenities: Seating for 24, 8-6' rectangle tables, small kitchenette with sink, small refrigerator and microwave.
